Miller heads back to New York, where he spent the first six seasons of his career, in exchange for Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini and a 2025 top-13 protected first-round pick. Logan Stankoven is having a strong rookie season with the Stars. The former Kamloops Blazers center has 24 points in 48 games and is seeing consistent time on the power play. Projected to play on Dallas' third line with Roope Hintz and Sam Steel, Stankoven is a pain to play against and will make life difficult for Vancouver all night.

Canucks No. 1 goalie Thatcher Demko also turned away 31 of 32 shots during Vancouver’s 3-1 road win over the Nashville Predators on Wednesday. His .877 SV% and 3.27 GAA both have screaming statistical correction ahead, too. Demko posted high-end .918 and 2.45 marks last season, after all.
