Alabama center Charles Bediako officially became the first player with college experience to sign an NBA contract and return to college basketball after he checked in during the Crimson Tide's clash with Tennessee on Saturday.

Social media didn’t take kindly to Bediako’s return to the college game nor the man who brought him back, Alabama coach Nate Oats. There was sarcasm and, in many posts, flat out hate. “Charles Bediako is a f---in loser, and Nate Oats is skum of the Earth,” read one post on X.
