Airbus Helicopters has almost sold out the first three years of production for its new H140 since the light-twin's 11 March launch.

Airbus Helicopters on Tuesday announced the launch of its first all-new helicopter in about a decade: a light, twin-engined model aimed at emergency services.

Emergency medical system operators from North America and Europe have kickstarted sales on March 11 for the new helicopter, which builds on the company’s H135 twin-engine platform but adds increased cabin volume, higher cruise speed, smoother flight performance and a lower noise profile thanks to its five-blade main rotor system.
